Creator Tribune (“we”, “us”, “our”) publishes editorial content at creatortribune.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. GA4 stores anonymized usage data including pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, and referral source. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifying information through analytics.

If you fill out a form on this site (newsletter, contact, comment), we collect the information you submit (typically email and a message). We use that information only to respond to your message or send the content you requested.

If you leave a comment, your IP address and browser user agent string are stored for spam detection and moderation, alongside the comment text and the email you provided.

Cookies

We set the following cookies:

  • Analytics: GA4 sets cookies that help us measure traffic patterns. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Comment: If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience on future visits.
  • Login: If you log in (admins only), WordPress sets temporary cookies to manage your session.

Affiliate links

This site contains affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure page for details.

Embedded content

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, social posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you visited the original site. Those sites may set their own cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the content.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with:

  • Google (Analytics) for traffic measurement
  • Our email service provider, only if you signed up for our newsletter
  • Service providers that host the site (Namecheap, Cloudflare) under standard service agreements

Data retention

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments without re-moderation. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default.

Your rights

You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, request correction, or request deletion. Use the Contact page with subject “Data Request” and we will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR; California residents under CCPA.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows or as legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
